CSBSC
Center for the Study of Balkan Societies and Cultures
CSBSC was founded in 1998 and was originally a research institution that was concerned with the sociocultural and historical research on the Balkans via third-party funding. During the last years the self-conception of CSBSC underwent a significant change: Alongside the official initiatives and institutions of the transfacultary research focus “Southeastern Europe“ of the University of Graz and in close cooperation with them, CSBSC by now acts as an informal pivot which supports smaller academic projects such as the edition of books and the realization of lecture courses.
