Joint Degree Master's Programme History of Southeast Europe
The Joint Degree Master's Programme History of Southeast Europe constitutes a fulltime course of study, which is estimated to take two years and includes a total of 120 ECTS credit points. The degree programme offers a specific academic training that focuses on history and historical anthropology of Southeastern Europe in the context of European integration. The universities of the consortium have elaborated a joint curriculum with regional aspects and a guarantee for its academic quality.
Students not only receive a professional training and further education, but the degree programme also emphasises mobility in order to deepen intercultural understanding. The international dimension of the programme increases the competitiveness of the graduates on the labour market.
After completion of the degree programme, the graduates receive a joint master’s degree from all participating universities, which is acknowledged automatically by the countries of the consortium. Academic degrees and the related rights in the respective countries will be awarded by the participating countries separately.
The programme was initiated by the Babeș-Bolyai University in Cluj-Napoca, the University of Graz and the University of Ljubljana as full-valued partner institutions. The current status of the programme can be attributed to a first extension of institutions.
