Nodegoat is a web-based data management tool specifically developed for research in the humanities. It allows scholars to store vague dates, historical regions, and is able to create diachronic geographical and social network visualisations. It is particularly useful for managing historical data and analyzing changes over time.
In this workshop, participants will learn how to use this online research environment.
No prior knowledge is necessary for participation. The seminar room is equipped with laptops. However, participants can also use their own laptops. Feel free to also bring your research questions and/or dataset to be used during the workshop.
The workshop will be held by Pim van Bree and Geert Kessels (LAB1100). is a research and development firm bringing together skills in new media, history, and software development. Working together with universities, research institutes, and museums, LAB1100 has built the digital research platform Nodegoat and produces interactive data visualisations.
